Cofield Wines is a boutique, family-owned winery in the heart of Rutherglen, founded in 1990 and backed by over 100 years of regional winemaking heritage. Led by second-generation winemaker Damien Cofield, the winery produces flavour-packed wines, specialising in Methode Traditionelle sparkling wines alongside Shiraz, Durif, and a range of white, red and fortified styles. Buller Wines
The Five Star James Halliday–rated winery is world-renowned for its Solera-crafted fortified wines, including the Robert Parker 100/100 Rare Muscat and Rare Tokay. The Calliope Estate produces small quantities of intensely flavoured grapes, crafted into premium, full-bodied reds using traditional Old World methods. The Calliope range also features traditionally handmade, late-disgorged sparkling wines.
The Balladeer Range showcases Rutherglen reds with a Mediterranean influence, combining Old World techniques with bold, modern expression. Discover James & Co. Wines, a boutique cellar door on Rutherglen’s Main Street opposite Pickled Sisters Cafe, where great wine, relaxed vibes, and a touch of the unexpected come together.
Since 2017, James & Co. has been crafting handmade, small-batch wines with a focus on European varieties, perfect for enjoying with food and friends. Winemaker Ricky James is often in the cellar door, happy to chat about the standout Sangiovese, explored in four styles – alongside Pinot Grigio, Tempranillo, and Nero d’Avola.

Scion Wine
Self-taught winemaker Rowly Milhinch is a descendant of George Francis Morris, one of Australia’s most renowned vignerons of the mid-19th Century. Formerly a graphic designer, Rowly applies creative thinking to his winemaking to craft dynamic wine styles. His style represents modern Rutherglen.
Olive Hills Estate
Olive Hills Estate is a boutique winery owned and operated by the Perry family and situated in historical 1886 cellars. All wines are produced on site from estate grown non-irrigated grapes. Olive Hills Estate offer personalised tastings with Ross Perry, winemaker and vigneron. Enjoy a glass of fine wine with the regional freshly prepared grazing platters and soak up the stunning surrounds of the original 1886 grand homestead. Open seven days a week and also available for weddings and private functions.
St Leonards Vineyard
Established in 1860, St Leonards Vineyard is a hidden gem for wine and food lovers, on a picturesque bend of the Murray River. The Cellar Door, open every Saturday and Sunday from 11am-4pm offers a distinctive range of wines including the exceptional St Leonards Vineyard Wahgunyah Shiraz and highly rated St Leonards Vineyard Cabernet Franc.
It is the perfect family-friendly lunch spot, with the St Leonards Vineyard Kitchen, open on the first Saturday of every month for our live music event, Music on the Murray. One of the oldest, continually operating wineries in Rutherglen, Stanton & Killeen blends innovation with tradition, celebrating seven generations and over 150 years of family winemaking. Today, the business is owned and managed by mother-daughter team Wendy and Natasha Killeen. The winery is best known for alternative Portuguese varieties, flavoursome Rutherglen red wine and continuing the family’s long custodianship of award-winning Muscats, Topaques and Vintage Fortifieds.
