Yes! We have our communal fire pit for all guests to use with seating and fire wood. Fire Restrictions are currently not in place, don’t forget the marshmellows at Happy Hour!
Individual fire pits can only be used from sites 31 – 50 in contained pits only. No fires are permitted on sites 2-30. Thank you for understanding!

Absolutely! We are just a very short walk into the main street of Rutherglen. Where you can enjoy some retail therapy, some of the local cafes, Restaurants and pubs.

Yes, we are a pet-friendly park. Pets are welcome on all site accommodation plus we have two pet-friendly cabins! Please ensure your pet is well-behaved and on a leash at all times. Read more about our Pet-Friendly Park HERE.
Check-in time is from 2:00pm, and check-out time is by 10:00am. We allow caravan and site check-ins from 12pm. If you require a late check-out, please contact our reception, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Yes, there are grocery stores and supermarkets within a short drive or easy walk from the park.

No. Unfortunately, we do not currently have the facilities to support electric vehicle (EV) charging at BIG4 Rutherglen Holiday Park.
Our guests’ safety is our top priority, and at this time, our park is not equipped to offer EV charging onsite.
However, we’ve got some great news! Right across the road you’ll find a VERY convenient EV charging station.

Yes, you can absolutely fish at Lake King Wetlands in Rutherglen.
Fish Species: The wetlands are stocked with Yellowbelly (Golden Perch) and Redfin.
Location & Access: Lake King is located on the eastern side of Rutherglen (near the caravan park) and features off-road parking, BBQs, and a scenic walking track.
Gear & Bait: If you need to pick up tackle or bait, you can visit local outfitters in town like the Rutherglen Hardware Store.
Regulations: As with all inland waters in Victoria, make sure you have a valid Victorian Recreational Fishing Licence before casting a line.
No, you cannot swim in Lake King Wetlands in Rutherglen. While the lake was once used as a town swimming pool in the late 1800s, swimming is no longer permitted.
No, we don’t. However, the reception here is fantastic and you can hotspot from your phone to stream Netflix on one of our smart TV’s.
No, but they do have stove cook tops.
Yes! When caravanning or camping on permitted sites, you can bring your own fire pit as long as its, portable, contained and you keep our sites clean and tidy.

We don’t offer transport but there is certainly options within Rutherglen.
During major weekend events (such as the Winery Walkabout or Tastes of Rutherglen), organizers run dedicated hop-on, hop-off shuttle loops connecting participating cellar doors. Festival Bus Info.
