All day but short rides
Hire an e-bike from Rutherglen E-Bike Hire (Here at The Park) and ride to Campbells and Bullers winery and then go to Moodemere for lunch. On the lake ride home checkout Andrew Buller Wines and/or Stanton & Killeen Wines – our VIP Pass Partner. These are Wineries all within 10kms of our park.

Wagunyah Trip
Drive to Wagunyah fish & chip shop before the Ford bridge. Get some Fish & Chips or salads etc eat sprawled out on the lawn or on the beach on the beautiful Murray river.
Wagunyah Trip Add On
While in Wagunyah you could visit Corowa and go to the Whiskey and Chocolate Factory or to Club Coorwa for a round of mini golf! Great fun with the kids.
Walking tour of Rutherglen CBD
Checkout the silo art and do the wine bottle walk on the way to the Convent Brewery. This is less than 1km from the park and The Convent is a VIP Pass Partner. They serve modern Mexican tapas, beer paddles and cocktails. Start your walk at the information centre with loads of available resources.
Some of our fave places to eat

Day 1 – Friday Afternoon/Evening Arrive at BIG4 Rutherglen Holiday Park and settle into your cabin or site beside Lake King. Take a short walk around the wetlands and unwind by the water after your drive. Stroll into town for dinner, just minutes away on foot. Enjoy a relaxed meal at a local pub or restaurant, then wander back under the stars. Tip: No need to drive – everything is close and walkable.
Day 2 – Saturday Start slow with coffee and breakfast in town, then hire an e-bike from the park and head out along the cycling trails. Visit some of Rutherglen’s iconic cellar doors for wine tastings. Many are easily accessible by bike, making it a fun and social way to explore. Stop for a long lunch at a winery or café. Take your time – this is what Rutherglen does best. Head back to the park for a relaxed evening. Enjoy a BBQ and the sunset over the lake. Tip: Our E-Bike hire makes exploring the wine region easy and car-free.
Day 3 – Sunday Wake up to birds and lake views. Take a gentle last walk around Lake King and grab breakfast in town. Pack up and depart the park feeling refreshed after a relaxed Rutherglen escape. Visit a local produce/retail store or squeeze in one last winery stop before heading home.
